Curriculum

Our Curriculum has recently been reviewed and now has enquiry at it's core. We are developing key questions to engage the children and to create threads to flow through their learning.

As well as increasing knowledge and mastery of understanding of subject content, we will also look at the progression of skills throughout each key stage.

We work in dual Year Group Classes therefore our Curriculum follows

a two year plan with Year A and Year B. This ensures breadth of

coverage and enables us to provide a range of balanced and

stimulating learning experiences.

RE Overview

In English and Mathematics we follow the national curriculum

framework and the programme of study. Wherever possible we try to

link this work to other subject areas and teach it thematically to make

it relevant to children. Please look on our class pages for each term's

learning.

Please click on curriculum tab to view the drop down titles to visit our Cultural

Day page to explore some of the ways in which we teach other areas

of the curriculum. There is also a separate page which highlights how

we support the teaching of reading and phonics with some additional

information for Parents.

Extra-Curricular Music Lessons

Please see Mrs Lowe on a Monday or Tuesday. She offers a variety

of music tuition in school including piano and singing. Please click on
